How can co-operatives power change?

A single human being can choose to change their habits, move their money to ethical banks, investments and savings, buy only sustainable products and produce, but the benefits will be imperceptible. When a thousand groups come together, each made up of a thousand people, whole economies begin to change, quickly and positively. New, sustainable, local jobs, bringing affluence to their communities. Security of food, water and shelter, health and social care, energy and transport, not reliant on or trasferring wealth to coporations and shareholders.

Creating opportunities for local people to invest in local co-operative enterprises, by financing their development and earning a fair return.

Just as ecosystems are the sum total of the interactions between, individuals and communities, co-operative societies are composed of interacting entities that include many members of a community. And no-one has to go without, no-one is left out.
