Co-operatives and communities

A co-operative is, by definition, a community of individuals coming together to enact a specific set of actions, for the commonn good, with equal, shared ownership. But co-operative action requires a set of shared principles, rules and self-regulation. People do not always co-operate smoothly. Egoes, differences in ideas and personalities, cultural and gender inequalities get in the way, so that often collaborative efforts eitehr fail or remain small scale.
